Wierickepolder
View to the south in the Wierickepolder, as seen from the lookout tower “Wierickewachter”, along the Wierickepad (yes, quite a bit of Wiericke here…), a cycling road between Driebruggen and Reeuwijk

Winter
A frost-covered rural landscape.
The house pictured was our neighbour’s house when we lived in Cothen. I woke up to this view and couldn’t help but grab my camera.
The road from Zalau to Archid
This was (in 2008) a gravel road leading to the village of Archid, in the northwest of Romania. It’s paved now.
Early Scottish morning view
This was taken near the Split Rock of Chachtoll, looking towards the southeast.
Can’t remember which camera or film… probably Velvia.
Evening sun on the Split Rock of Chachtoll
Taken during a camper van vacation in Scotland in 2003, when temperatures reached record heights. The natives were drunk at 11am.
Minolta XM, Rokkor 58/1.2, Fuji Velvia
Blue moon over Clachtoll Rock
The three poles were near an abandoned croft. They were probably used for fishing nets.

On a winter morning with gorgeous light
Above the clouds
Pyrenées, France. My wife did not enjoy the ride through the clouds. No visibility to speak of, hairpins, no guardrails, and occasionally cattle on the road (goats, sheep, the odd cow). But it was worth it.
